Combating Hair Loss Has Never Been So Refreshing.
I know how disheartening it can be to experience hair loss. But having it doesn’t mean that it’s the end. Stop thinning hair in its tracks and grow it back to shiny, gorgeous-looking brilliance!
I wrote to you nearly 2 months ago to tell you about the “new upgraded formulas of my dandruff shampoos and making them fully organic!”
Well they really have been flying off the shelves, but before their upgrade my most popular shampoo was my Stimulating Shampoo, the good news is I’ve now made upgrades to this too, so it’s also fully organic.
Make Your Hair Shine
No matter your hair type, this hair growth shampoo makes your hair shine and effectively combats shedding. It’s lightweight, so it moisturises your hair without weighing it down..
Thicken Hair
Use this hair loss shampoo daily or at least every other day and feel your hair getting smoother, softer, and fuller every time.
Handmade personally by me, in small batches and I’ve carefully selected the finest ingredients to not only maximise hair growth, but also optimise hair condition as this prevents loss from breakage as well as making your hair more manageable, shiny and fuller too.
They smell so minty fresh and make your hair look so good I’m sure you’d love the change.
Introducing the active ingredients:
Best results are from the synergy of ingredients rather than using them individually.
ORGANIC PEPPERMINT ESSENTIAL OIL
Combines the refreshing essence of menthol and the invigorating properties of peppermint essential oil to give you a rejuvenating hair growth shampoo. Its antiseptic & stimulating properties reduce shedding and naturally stimulate your hair to promote natural and optimum hair growth.
Invigorate your scalp
Traditional plant remedies have been used for centuries in the treatment for hair loss, but only a few have been scientifically evaluated. Peppermint (mentha piperita) extracted from peppermint leaves is generally used in cosmetic formulations as a fragrance and a general skin conditioning agent. The principal ingredient of peppermint oil, menthol, is primarily responsible for its beneficial effects. Peppermint has been reported to show anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and anti- fungal activities as well as strong antioxidant activity, and antiallergenic and anti-tumour actions. Therefore this is also great for your scalp too. Experiments show that hair growth is promoted by invigorating the hair follicle to slow down hair loss or thinning and to regrow hair that has already been lost.
This shampoo contains the highest quality organic peppermint oil I could find.
Caution – Avoid with epilepsy and pregnancy or if using homeopathic remedies.
Organic rosemary essential oil
Distilled with steam extraction methods out of the flowers of the plant. Harvested and used for thousands of years for antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant benefits as well as purported benefits such as hair growth stimulant & memory improvement. In recent years, studies reveal rosemary oil’s benefits for skincare products.
Has a unique ability to stimulate blood flow to the hair follicles, which then aids hair growth.
It’s also natural antioxidant, meaning it protects skin and hair against harmful elements in the environment called free radicals that hurt DNA in skin cells, thereby having anti-ageing results.
Rosemary contains hydrating properties and helps lock in moisture to protect and comfort your scalp and hair and help prevent breakage.
You may remember me mentioning before, this interesting (hopefully) story that due to it’s memory enhances properties when I was studying for my final trichology exams back in 1999 I always had the oil with my revision notes and then when I sat in the exam room to write my papers I had the oil infused in my pencil case to help jog my memory of my revision. It’s meant to work, so did it help, well I can’t be sure, but I did off course pass and here I am today (24yrs later) creating lovely and functional products for you!
All of these next ingredients are also in my dandruff shampoos, so you may think you’ve read about them already, but I’m giving different information here to explain why I choose them also for your hair.
Glycerine:
I really love this versatile ingredient!
Hydration – Repairs Damage
Conditions and strengthens your existing hair so that it’s shiny and less prone to split ends. Our hair constantly faces a variety of stressful conditions. From heat styling, pollutants to chemical irritants, styling products and dyes, everything takes a toll on your hair. Most of these may lead to damage and dryness, leaving your hair lifeless. Thankfully, glycerin, comes to the rescue with it’s water-absorbing (hygroscopic) ability, this moisturising quality aids in hydrating, repairing, and protecting your dry, weak, damaged and breaking locks, leaving them renewed, lustrous, and healthy. Strong hair will therefore be less susceptible to hair loss from breakage and spilt ends.
Controls Sebum Production
The major reason your skin generates oil is to coat the hair and scalp in a barrier of protection. Glycerine’s moisturising characteristics lessen the need to coat your scalp in oil. As a result, your scalp constantly produces less oil. Less oil production also ensures less fungal growth. Therefore, glycerin checks sebum production as well as pH balance in the scalp, which keeps it healthy to facilitate hair growth from their roots in the scalp. Thus it creates an ideal environment in the scalp for hair follicles to thrive. Hair follicles are crucial for aiding in hair growth and eventually result in longer, and thicker hair.
Manages Frizziness
Helps to control this frizz and flyaway hair by giving the hair the moisture it needs. It also forms a barrier of defence around the hair shaft which stops excessive moisture from penetrating or evaporating from the hair, which leaves you with a smooth and sleek appearance.
Dandruff & Dry, Itchy Scalps
If you have light dandruff may wish to consider trying aloe vera to relieve the flakes and itching. Additionally, aloe vera’s natural anti-fungal properties could help fight the yeast overgrowth that causes dandruff. The fatty acids found in the aloe plant have anti-inflammatory properties, which help resolve the scalp inflammation that dandruff causes.
However my dandruff shampoos would be more effective and also contain aloe vera.
Alove Vera
Good For All Hair Types:
Hair Loss
People have historically used aloe vera to treat baldness and thinning hair. As far back as 70 AD. It contains many nutrients & anti-oxidants: A, C, and E, not only may help strengthen the hair to produce shine and protection against damage caused by environmental stressors such as the sun and toxins, but they also contribute to cell turnover, promoting healthy cell growth in the follicles from hair roots to encourage growth of new hairs. Vitamin B12 and folic acid; these can keep your hair from falling out. Essential amino acids and minerals, such as copper and zinc, which are important for hair growth. Also plant steroids and fatty acids, which all stimulate blood circulation and improve delivery of oxygen and nutrition to hair follicles:
Oily Hair
Aloe vera has antimicrobial and antibacterial properties. It also has an antiseptic effect. These properties deep clean the hair, removing any dirt and extra oil and and residue from other hair products that may be on the hair and scalp. But it doesn’t hurt your hair strands while it cleans. Unlike chemicals in other hair products, aloe vera is gentle and preserves the integrity of your hair. Cleansed follicles have a better chance of growing hair. Which is why I generally advocate washing your hair daily or at least every other day!
Dry, Damaged, or Brittle Hair
Contains mucopolysaccharides and these compounds can help bind moisture to the skin and hair. If you have damaged hair or a damaged scalp due to sun exposure, aloe vera can be useful since it can offer protection against UV damage.
‘Normal’ hair
It has a high collagen content so overall using aloe vera is a great way to get hair that looks healthier, shinier, and softer.
Argan Oil:
Extracted from a nut, native to Morocco. Like aloe vera it contains many beneficial vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Which help nourish and moisturise the scalp and hair, which can improve hair growth and also help to prevent conditions such as eczema on the scalp.
Improves hair growth; full of essential fatty acids that help to promote hair growth by stimulating the scalp and nourishing the hair follicles and stimulate blood circulation to the hair follicles, and prevent hair loss.
Reduces hair loss, has antioxidants such as vitamin E that protect the scalp’s surface and can help reduce hair loss due to damage free radicals and outside factors. When moisturised and protected, the hair is less likely to snap and split.
Repairs hair colouring damage; can be used as a daily treatment to help improve hair structure and add moisture and balance to the ends of the hair, where damage is most likely to occur, whether that’s due to general dryness, colour treatments or perms.
Softens and moisturises hair. Compared to other hair oils, it features a smaller molecule, which is why it absorbs more easily into the hair to hydrate and soften it.
Prevents breakage; made of unsaturated fats that can easily penetrate the hair strand, sealing the gaps in the cuticle of damaged hair and creating a healthier appearance. Adding moisture to the hair can help protect it from damage, improve the overall look of the hair, and also help to protect it from damage and breakage.
Grow longer hair; by by conditioning your hair and avoiding damage and preventing friction.
Reduces Frizz; it’s fatty acids help to tame frizz and flyaways. By smoothing the hair, argan oil can help to create a sleek and more polished look.
Adds shine; to dull, damaged, lifeless hair. It can help reflect light, giving it a glossy, healthy look.
Soothes the scalp; believed to have anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal effects, which helps relieve dandruff, inflammation, itchiness, sensitivity or itchy scalps, keeping your scalp healthy, can help prevent hair loss for thicker, fuller hair.
